We can help you to understand best practices in each of the following challenge areas and get you through the process with less anxiety and confusion.

Every life has a series of DecisionDays™— those days when pivotal decisions are made that affect everything else going forward. We’re here to help you refine your decisions: the what, when, where, and how of a smooth transition through the aging process.

These decisions can be tricky, time-consuming, and overwhelming, but we’ve helped many people through this before. Having A Game Plan for Aging™ is essential for a seamless transition through life’s journey.

Here are just some of the items that may be in your Game Plan:

  • Describing what’s important to you regarding quality of life
  • Advance directives regarding care locations, powers of attorney and health decisions
  • How to best utilize Social Security and other retirement plans
  • A DecisionDay™ about transportation—when does it make sense to let others do the driving?
  • What are the conditions by which your chosen agents step in on your behalf when you can no longer act?

We can see you through any and all of these processes until your Game Plan is securely in place.

  • Housing & Transportation Plans

Exploring options and timing that work best for your unique situation.

  • Caregiving Plans

Determining who your most appropriate caregivers shall be, what each will be responsible for and when each caregiver should step in for you.

  • Finances

Creating decision makers and securing trust.

  • Inform Standard Legal Documents

Provide guidelines that assist your agents, trustees, caregivers and advisors to fulfill your goals and desires.

  • Fraud & Abuse Protection

Develop advanced protocols to minimize the risk of fraud and abuse.

  • Family Harmony

    Steps to avoid family conflict.

“My mom had long-term care insurance, and needed to use it from age 79-85. My stepmother the same.  My father and mother-in-law needed it, but didn’t have it, and spent hundreds of thousands on care at the end of their lives.

For these reasons, my husband and I decided to purchase long-term care insurance.  Gretchen Messenger helped us through the process, doing research for us, and aiming us toward policies that are high quality, and at the same time, affordable.  In the 10 years since, we have both retired and retained a financial advisor.  He reviewed our policy, and stated it was an excellent one worth keeping. Many others are not, according to him, who we consider a neutral party.

Oftentimes during the past years, we’ve had questions about the policy, the payments, and the paperwork.  Gretchen has always been there for us, year after year, helping us through the process.  We’re glad we made the purchase when we did…and from whom we did”
